Jai Lava Kusa : NTR continues his success streak

Jai Lava Kusa has Tarak in three different roles and is written and directed by Bobby Ravindra. Sira Sri has penned the mythological dialogues and  kona Venkat supported with screenplay. Raasi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas are paired with NTR for the first time. Posani Krishna Murali, Sai Kumar, Ronit Roy, Priyadarshi, Abhimanyu Singh and Harish Uthaman are part of the rest of the cast. With a hatrick in Tarak’s kitty, let’s see if Jai Lava Kusa will be the start of another hatrick.

Story :

Jai, Lava and Kusa are siblings. Jai has a stammering problem from his childhood and is ignored by his family members. Lava and Kusa are pampered by everyone for their good acting capabilities in stage shows. They lose their parents at a young age and are bought up their maternal uncle Posani. Jai is frustrated with the behavior of his uncle Posani and he slowly develops hatred towards his brothers. Fate separates all the three brothers. How they meet together again and how they realize the value of being brothers forms the rest of Jai Lava Kusa.

Artiste’s Performance:

This is Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao show all the away. He has exploded with his acting skills. The variations in three characters helped Tarak immensely to show his acting prowess and he came out with flying colors. Jai Lava Kusa will be remembered as one of his finest performances in his career. Raashi khanna was good and is seen mostly in the first half while Nivetha Thomas is seen in second half. She didn’t have much to play. Tamannah sizzled in the item sing with her dancing capabilities. Posani had a good length role and he was apt in his role. Sai kumar was good as Tarak’s henchman, Priyadarshi was good in a short role. Hamsa Nandhini was hot in a short role. Nanditha Raj is seen in a guest role and was good. The whole of Villain gang was routine and there is nothing to rave about them.

Technical Team:

Bobby Ravindra need to be appreciated for coming up with a good script and has executed it pretty well without any confusing elements. Music and background score by Devi Sri Prasad is fantastic. Cinematography by Chota.K.Naidu is good but could have been better.  Production values are grand. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Thammi Raju is ok. Second half could have been edited in a better way and is rushed up.

  • NTR as Jai Lava and Kusa
  • Demonetization episode in first half
  • Lava and Kusa interactions in first half
  • Songs and NTR dance
  • Music and background score (Seemed bit over loud at times)
  • Jai characterization and his stage plays
  • Jai’s intro in interval (Though routine, it made a mark)
  • Pre-climax and climax episodes

  • Second half seemed predictable.
  • Villain gang and fights are routine
