– Ajaykumar Mudunuri for Movie Bells
Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi starring Ram Pothineni, Anupama Parameswaran, Lavanya Tripati and Sri Vishnu in lead roles is directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by ‘Sravanthi’ Ravi Kishore. There are decent expectations surrounding this flick as it comes after the successful combination of Ram and Kishore with Nenu Shailaja. Theatrical Trailer and audio have also raised the bar of this movie. Devi Sri Prasad has rendered music and background score while Sameer Reddy handled Cinematography. Priyadarshi plays a prominent role while Anisha Ambrose is seen in a cameo. Let’s see if the makers have been able to replicate the success of Nenu Shailaja in Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi.
Story : (Spoiler’s ahead)
Abhiram (Ram Pothineni) and Vasu (Sri Vishnu) are childhood friends who can’t live without each other. Vasu leaves to Delhi on his professional front. Abhi meets Maha and they fall in love with each other. Vasu returns from Delhi and finds his love in the form of Maha. Maha comes to know about the friendship between Abhi and Vasu. Abhi sacrifices Maha for Vasu and leaves to Italy. No more spoilers please. Watch the movie in theatres to know what happened next.
Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi is Ram’s show all the way. As usual, he looked energetic, stylish, handsome and very good at acting. Anupama Parameswaran was decent in the role of a house surgeon. Lavanya Tripati disappoints in the role of a marriage planner. Priyadarshi was good as hero’s friend. Sri Vishnu character is very vital for the movie but he failed to emote. We see the routine expressions on the face. Rest of the cast were apt in the roles they played.
Thumbs up to cinematography, Music, background score and dialogues. Though direction is good in the first half, Kishore Tirumala completely lost the grip in the second half. The twists and turns worked well initially but faltered at the later half.
Box Office Prospects:
With a pre-release business of about 22 crores, given the talk that Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi garnered, it may well settle in a range between 18 Cr to 25 Cr and will end up as an average at box office.
First half of the movie is good with nice emotions between Ram, Anupama and Sri Vishnu. Second half is taken for a toss and is too filmy. Lavanya Tripati is wasted thoroughly and the love thread in this half completely falters. Overall, an average fare to me for the classy first half and wonderful dialogues throughout the movie. Cinematography and Music is an added advantage.
